She has tried so hard. Tried so hard to be the perfect daughter. The perfect sister. The perfect student. The perfect employee... Even the perfect mom.

With every day she tries so hard to go above and beyond all expectations. Raising her little sister and baby brother. Dealing with an abusive, alcoholic father, and a stepmother who neglects her and her siblings, while working three jobs to support them. All while being an eighteen year old senior in highschool.

When she meets Calum, the new guy in town, her world is flipped around. He can tell there's so much more to Auden's story than she lets on. Could he be her saving grace? Her key to happiness?

She wants to believe she can do it on her own. To get through it, and end up okay. But will it become too much? Can Auden keep up with this fast-paced, difficult life and find the happiness she deserves? Or will the teen give in to the threats and name calling, telling her to end it all?
