It is 1147. Louis VII, King of France, begins his march to the Holy Land. The Second Crusade has begun.
Hoping to redeem himself in the eyes of his god, Vespasien joins the march, eager to prove himself worthy of knighthood. The march is not without its dangers however. Something unnatural follows the crusade.
Plagued by visions from his past, Vespasien doesn't know if he's losing himself to madness or not. What he does know is, if he is to survive, he must first battle his way through angry peasants, vengeful Saracens, and a creature that thirsts for blood.

Alcina Cassandra Molloy clawed her way from only being known as the author Daniel Molloy's child to where they are now. She left New York and went to New Orleans for college desperate to break away from the reputation she had due to her last name. She hunted down a place to stay for a while, the only place anywhere near her college and affordable was the old de Pointe du Lac-de Lioncourt town home. When word of her father's latest attempt to publish a book, she digs her own claws in to find out who it was about. The subject? Louis de Pointe du Lac, one of the original owners of her rental. Take It From the Top (This Time With Feeling)
Maybe Louis wanted to retell the story because he got it wrong. Maybe he felt that his memory was clearer now. Or maybe he decided it wasn't fair that he left her out. Their sunshine in the night. Enter Catherine- the one he forgot to tell about while he was too busy focusing on Lestat.
