Five years ago, Brixen Remington's mother sends her off to Alabama to live with her father. With Brixen having to ditch all her friends she grows angry over the summer in Alabama. Especially spending the summer alone. Her father was always gone " Working" so he claimed. Her step mother Brittney was never home, and she doesn't know anyone in town. Before long school starts and she meets this shy, tan skin, green eyed boy, Parker. Over time a crush develops for both of them. Then all of a sudden with no word or goodbye, Brixen has to up and leave, after tragedy strikes. Now five years later, the two magically meet again. Will the love still stand or was their crush just a phase?

"Mels I think we should break up" David said to her, his voice flat, no emotion, as though he wasn't blowing up her entire world with his blunt words. "What?" Melody asked, her face had gone pale, she had heard the words he said the first time but she couldn't believe it. She loved him and he loved her, why would they break up? Why would he want this?
