They showed her what life was like for those who were born, those who had parents, those in the real world. They showed her so she could understand how they lived, how they went to school, how they worked, how they talked, how they walked, how they were. 

They showed her how to emulate them, how to deceive them, how to read them, and how to kill them.
By the time she was eight, she had killed a few hundred people in her training.

They gave her the skills. 

So she used them to escape.
