Growing up in their sister's shadow wasn't easy; surviving after she left has been harder. In the nine years since their Kingdom was destroyed by the cruel Falcondar family, Kiridan has had two objectives: to stay hidden from the Falcondars, and to figure out why their sister never came back for them. They discover that she started an underground organization to overthrow the Falcondars...and then died three years ago while on a mission in the mountains. Determined to make something of their sister's efforts - and to be recognized as more than the less-talented sibling - Kiridan decides to break into the organization known as the Infernal Uprising, taking their rightful place among its leadership. But as the attack on the Falcondars draws nearer, they'll have to learn that leadership is more than barking orders, and that trust is difficult to earn. When the chaos spirals further than anyone expected, and new powers come into play from every direction, a lot of people may have to reevaluate what they stand for...whether they're an Infernal Uprising soldier, a traitor, or a Falcondar Princess herself. Sure, through the eyes of those in power, the world has always been in conflict. But for the next generation waiting to take over, the conflict is just beginning. And for the rest of the unsuspecting universe, it hasn't even begun. Which came first, the catastrophe or the change? And what's the difference in the first place? ******* ONGOING. [the krills might scare you though, haha!!] Skesis is going on a trip to find the elder spirits that could stop the harvesters, a group of corrupted avatars that were taking skykids to feed them to the insane Dark dragons when they grew old enough. These corrupt avatars could do much damage, could speak to the insane dragons that roamed the eye of Eden, and were growing stronger by the day. The elders had no idea. If the insane Dark Dragons managed to devour enough skykids, they would soon be able to have enough strength to force their way into other realms, and make them as barren as the sorry lands they came from. Taking down the harvesters was what his father, Orchari, was trying to achieve, since he was once a skykid that was trapped in the horrid lands of the lands in which he was held captive in. But first, he wanted to get stronger. This was a quest he had worked long to achieve, but the realm of death and power, known as the Eye of Eden, ultimately ended his life before he could. It was up to Skesis to finish his late father's job. He was going to find the elders. He was going to save them all. But the harvesters were closer to him than he realized. He was closer to unlocking secrets that would throw his organized world into chaos. He was closer to everything. Now he must rethink the choices he was going to be forced to make. What would he choose: love or lives?

Picked for the WattVamps February Showcase & now a Wattpad Dark Fantasy featured story! The Risen Series - Book 1 Rebellion I've been a cardholding member of the undead for centuries, torn away from the sun by a vampire with no care for human life. From the moment I opened my eyes to the night and had my first craving for blood, my Maker twisted and moulded me into exactly what he wanted; trapping me in his hold. Until one day he let me go. Content to live out eternity as no more than a shadow, I do my best to stay out of trouble. But trouble always had a way of finding me. During a hunt, I run into another vampire doing his best to go unnoticed; one so ancient the air around him reeks of power, and he claims he's just escaped imprisonment from the very council that used me to their own ends. Atanas demands I help him until he regains his strength so he can finish what he started a century ago, but I'm not sure that's all he wants from me. And while I'm no supporter of the council he seeks vengeance against, there are secrets that bind my life to theirs, and I know better than most that disloyalty means death. But in the shadows, a rebellion has been brewing, and I might be more important to both sides than I could ever have imagined.
