A Coil of Shadows and Sunlight
In a world where power decides fate, those born without magic-the Snakes-are seen as cursed, descendants of the Great White Serpent that was cast into the depths long ago. They are outcasts, prey for the Sun-Blessed, who wield magic like gods and rule with an iron grip. Mila has always known what she is-a Snake, meant to bow, meant to suffer. Until the day she is thrown from the heights, left to die at the hands of the powerful. But death never comes. Her blood ignites. Her body shifts. And from the abyss, she rises-a dragon reborn. Across the golden spires, Prince Edwin is raised to believe his destiny is to command a great dragon, just as his ancestors did before him. The world is his to rule, and the Snakes are his to crush. But Edwin is soft, too kind for a world built on cruelty. He dreams of peace, of change-of a future where power isn't everything. When fate binds the prince and the dragon together, their worlds collide in a way neither could have expected. Mila is no servant, and Edwin is no tyrant-but in a world that demands they be enemies, can they rewrite the story written in their blood? A legend reborn. A kingdom on the brink. And two souls bound by fate, standing on opposite sides of a war that has raged for centuries.
