High school tends to be cruel to those who go against the natural order of what is considered cool and what isn't. It's why Carter Knowles and Xander Quinn always felt the need to hide their love of ABBA music from their peers. After all, if the scary goth girl and the popular jock swimmer were both open about their love for the Swedish pop group, no one would take them seriously anymore.

When one day brings these two unlikely friends together, they unknowingly begin to unravel the lives of the people closest to them. It soon becomes obvious that no one really knows each other the way they thought they did, but everyone is about to learn more about each other whether they're ready for them to know or not.
