The Second Crusade approaches Constantinople, the richest city in 12th century Christendom.
Vespasien has seen the destruction wrought by the Crusade, and he finds his faith wavering. Now, as the enemies of the church rise up to defend their lands, Vespasien must face off against them, and a much darker threat.
Within the walls of Constantinople, a creature stalks the streets, one of the very creatures that has stalked Vespasien's worst nightmares. To continue on to the Holy Land, and achieve the dream he's been striving for, he must defeat this blood sucking demon, or die trying.
