Honestly, I'm not quite sure where this is going. I can only tell you that Cadeus and Eiel are friends, young men that are training for the Elven Guard.
They live on a mystical island that has recently begun the process of colonization as a mining town through the financial aid of The Company.
Eiel and Cadeus slip down into the human village to gather intelligence when Cade runs across a face so pretty, it's hard to forget. Still, the image of her manages to slip away as the chaos unfolds.
War unleashes its hell upon the village and Cadeus may be the sole survivor. As he journeys to find out what happened to his friend Eiel and the other missing members of his clan, he stumbles upon the same girl from the human's village living alone in the woods.
Reluctantly, Cade agrees to bring Elizabella with him and together they set out on the greatest adventure of their lives.
Of course, Cade falls in love with Elizabella, but he can't allow himself to acknowledge it. By the time they catch up to Eiel and before setting off to save the others, Elizabella starts to notice Eiel has feelings for her. Confused by her own feelings, a relationship begins before she knows what's happening.
