Shattered Walls

Dr. Temperance Brennan has been alone for most of her life. She was abandoned by her parents and left with her irresponsible older brother. She was put in several foster families and learned to let no one in. She put walls up to protect her heart from breaking once again.
FBI Agent Seeley Booth is a true American. He served his country as an army rifleman. As a child his father abused him and his younger brother. Booth's mother left them to defend themselves against their abusive father. Thankfully Booth's grandfather took him and his brother in and raised them as his own. Booth became one of the best FBI agents in the field.
Together Dr. Brennan and Agent Booth solve crimes.
Are they just partners or is it something more?

FBI agent Seeley Booth is investigating the murder of, 26 year-old, Jessica Rogers. Dr. Temperance Brennan is of course on the scene. As the day goes on there are no leads or suspects.

Everyone goes home.

Booth goes to bed that night and has a nightmare. The love of his life is shot because he chose to not go with her to the diner. What will Booth do when he wakes up? Will he act on it or hide his emotions again?
