Not everyone is born equal...

  I learned that at the young age of 4, when my quirk manifested. It was said to be to overpowered. So I was sent to a place, a place where the over powered kids lay.

    No one knows what happens there, well except for me... I was raised there after all. Anyone at the age of 16 is either sent to hero school or killed, it all depends on there behavior. 

   I, unlike most of the people at the place, was sent to a hero school.

How should Izuku know that he is writing a letter for his future self. Karma is a very famous Vigliante the 1#. Unlike Izuku when he was 10, he has tones of friends and fans. The crime rate fell by 76% thanks to him.
