It had been eight years.  eight whole years.  Whiplash had returned prior to Aphira's death, and Whip still hasn't quite forgiven him.
   The Hunters?  Scattered.  Ryker?  Drowned.  Aphira?  ...Orca, the Scauldron, reports that her body that should've been found burnt on the boat was nowhere to be found.
   Deep in the forest, Blackout searches.  Deep in the forest, secrets lie.  Deep in the forest, a new enemy emerges...and now every dragon must put aside their differences...before they all die.

   Notice 1:  Most dragons are owned by Dreamworks, as is Hiccup, Astrid, Fishlegs, Snotlout, Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Zephyr, Nuffink, and their dragons.
   Notice 2:  This takes place eight years after the event of Fading Echoes.

Our mother tried to protect us, but they shot a arrow at her head and died. they did the same thing to my sister. i cried in tears which caught their attention. they whispered to each other and then one walked up to me and said. "Today is your lucky day freak, you will be on sell." i tried to back away from him as much as i could, but there was no use. they dragged me from the knets to their ship as i was to scared to fight them.

It will make more sense when you read the chapter titled: 'The little boat' near the end of the book, but the actual story is 60 chapters long.
