Four girls, four boys in the apocalypse.
The leader Blade Villain, the key to the aliens Lily Valerie and her three close friends Andy Lou, Angelica Leen, Cherry Morrow with Jax Damien who knows Blade, and Zane Lycan the lonewolf, lastly the brains of the group Nixon Jones.

"Hold this for me." He held out a handgun to her surprise. "Do you know how to use this?" He asked.

"No." She took it from his hand, moving it around in her palm, it was solid. Not as heavy as she thought it'd be.

"It's a Glock 17, 9 mm gun. Very easy to use. Doesn't weigh much. You should be able to use it. It holds 17 rounds - "

"Wait, you gave me a loaded gun?" Her eyes widened

"Of course not. I don't want it going off or me getting shot by accident." He chuckled. "Here I'll show you how to use it." He placed his hands over hers, pointing the gun down for a moment. "So, for safety measures, you always keep the gun low. Most importantly when it is loaded."

"Mmhm." Lily nodded as he continued giving her the gun lesson. She was shocked this is why he brought her in here. Maybe he was getting her ready for training. But her, no one else.

"Alright, you take the magazine out. It has a magazine release button you must press first." He slid a black piece out of the gun, it was where the bullets were stashed. "Then, you load it up. I won't do that right now. But after that, you shove it back in. Then you cock the gun back, find a target and pull the trigger."

"Oh, so it's that easy." She smirked.

"Yeah, but how good is your aim?" He returned the smirk. His hands still clasped over hers holding the gun. "Well, do you think you can handle a gun now?"

"I think so." She liked the warmth of his palms and the calluses on them.

In this SciFi/romance find out, watch people lose the ones they love, and others find love, but hard struggles come along and these girls and boys are put through hell. Will they make it out alive?

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! Love in the Time of Zombies: An Apocalyptic Romance de JasperBladesmith

This novel is a zom-com-rom, blending a zombie apocalypse with humor and romance. "Good morning, welcome to Grand Crest Hotel. May I have the name under which the room is booked?" "Han So Hee," she replied. The receptionist typed quickly on the keyboard. "Ah, yes, Ms. Han. You're in room 1102 on the 12th floor." She handed her the room key card. . . she found a convenience store connected to the mall, purchased some samgak-Gimbap, and ate quickly. she stepped outside, expecting the usual bustle of evening activity. As she scanned the empty area, her eyes caught a figure-a man standing far away, motionless. Something about the way he stood unsettled her. Then, out of nowhere, a group of people rushed toward him. Startled, Han took out her phone, recording the scene from a distance. "What's going on?" she wondered. Planning to at least send the video to the police. "I shouldn't get involved in a street fight when I just landed here, right? ..." "Ugh ... I don't Know ..." She stepped closer, but what she saw next made her freeze in fear. The group wasn't just attacking the man. They were biting him, tearing at his flesh, their movements jerky and unnatural. Her stomach churned as her mind screamed the truth: "they weren't people. They were something far worse." . . "How did I end up here?" she wondered. "This feels like something straight out of a drama..." . . "How do people in dramas do this? she thought, feeling the sharp ache of hunger gnawing at her insides. They train for days without eating, and somehow they're fine. But here I am, struggling to even think straight." . . . She have to survive this with... ..Training.. ..Finding other survivors.. ..Finding a Safe Place.. ..or.. .. ..Finding Love..?

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!)
