When Hinata accidentally leaves his Volleyball shoes at home and the team is in Tokyo, he is forced to go and buy new ones. Kenma agrees to take him to a nearby store, and strangely, he buys the exact same pair of white shoes, only his laces were yellow, and Hinata's were orange.

Once put on, both males glow a dim shade of the shoe laces, but appear to be fine. Later that day, both mysteriously start to bleed in their feet, and once taken into inspection, one word is engraved onto one foot each.
