There are two worlds. The world of creatures rumoured to lurk in the darkness and feed on fear. The world of humans with thoughts of chaos, creativity and constant lethal curiosity. For years, these worlds have been separated by rules and stereotypes and meaningless fears. As long as these worlds remained in their own businesses, no problems should occur, and the endless cycle of neglecting each other will repeat until life dies out. But Alfie and I were born to defy these stereotypes. We were neighbours and best friends from youth. A friendship between a monster and a human was already enough to cause a stir in society, but a romance? It was unheard of. The thought was unrealistic and according to everybody and anybody- forbidden. Even if it wasn't a law. But our fate was written in the stars. And we would pursue it, even if it destroys us in the end.

I was in love with my best friend. But sadly, he didn't feel the same way. I thought my world was over. I was crushed. But to my utmost yet most delighted surprise, I just happened to fall into the arms of a certain bad boy. Literally. He didn't just save me from what could've been a hell of a concussion that night. He saved my heart too. But hey, let's not get in over our heads now. It wasn't that easy. Not even close. After all, when two opposing worlds clash for the very first time, we can't just expect it to be all rainbows and sunshine. Now, do we?
