Placed after the defeat of Fire Lord Ozai, the backlash of the experiences the group had are still present within them.
However Some prefer to keep them hidden from the rest of their friends, sometimes out of concern for them or just pure stubbornness.
But what happens when one of Aangs friends and now love of his life discovers his internal turmoil after a long day together. Would he bother pushing her away or would they actually talk about the Avatar's pain.
(I don't own Avatar The Last Airbender. It is a fanfiction from the series. this story touches on stuff like PTSD, has a little bit of scary Imagery due to nightmares, and it's placed a year or so after the war. I'm not perfect but I'm trying, this is my first one-shot so bare with me. And Aang might be slightly ooc)

When team Avatar decides to return to the southern water tribe to visit Sokka and Katara's family, they end up bringing Zuko along, giving him a well deserved break of running the fire nation. However, feelings start to make themselves known. Feelings that Aang doesn't like, little does he know he ends up pushing Katara into the arms of the edgy firebender, which was the last thing he was trying to do. enemies, to friends, to lovers. ______________ hi there. so, this is modern. they still have bending, ba sing se is a place etc. it's just like ATLA except with technology i guess? not sure how to explain it. but we've got zukka because im in love with it, kataang and then.. toph. but there is not firelord stuff or anything like that. i'm editing this 3 chapters in because it followed the plot line better LMAO suki died. i haven't put too much research into when she died, but i'm gonna say this is like a year or so after the last episode of atla. they need to be aged up LMAO sokka is 17, zuko 18. katara 16 and for the sake of the plot aang is also 16. toph is 15. mature content warning. minimal swearing if y'all care LMAO. its slow burn and a lot of beating around the bush. they don't wanna admit anything and sokkas just overall afraid to love again after every woman or girl he's loved has died in some form. minus katara and toph. zukos head over heels you could say, he's realizing what affection really feels like. so this leaves him questioningLengkap
