In a world where 80% of the population has developed unique mutations in their genetic codes, giving them "superpowers", or "quirks", as they call it, it doesn't take long for fantasy and imagination to emerge out of the earth. And further, it doesn't take long for roles of "Heroes" and "Villains" to rise up as well. But... Who coins one as a "hero" or a "villain"...? The person themselves...? Or the people around them...? Light... Dark... Dusk... Dawn... Two sides of the same coin... Twilight... --- Kageyama Kazuma is a 16 year old boy, aspiring to follow his late father's footsteps, and become a hero who saves people. But... Not all can go as planned, or wished, right? So was the case for Kazuma as well, as his quirk soon found itself being held accountable for Kazuma being coined the word "villain" by those around him, before he could even begin his journey to becoming a hero. His only light in this darkness being his mother, is willing to do whatever it takes to keep that smile she treasures so much to never leave the boy's face. But... Being a human at the end of the day, she can only do so much. Follow Kageyama through his journey to becoming one of the greatest heroes in the entirety of Japan. What awaits him on this journey? Friends? Love? Hardships? That's for you to find out. [This is a rework of my first book ever, "What It Means To Be A Hero"] --- I do not own any claims/rights to the My Hero Academia verse, all rights go to Kosei Horikoshi. I only own the original characters I've added to the story, and the arts I add in the book. In case the art doesn't belong to me, I'll credit the said person in the comments. Peace. Quirks, the evolutionary advancement of human evolution, the next step in human history to become better than what they we're before but that was just hopeful wishing. Since the dawn of quirks, humans started losing thier humanity, they started valuing quirks as if they are what determines where they stand in society and if you didn't have a quirk, you'd live a life full of torment, torture and just plain cruelty. A boy was born in this corrupted world and he was unfortunate enough to be born quirkless and he has seen the horrors of how humans treat the less fortunate, those who are quirkless, weak quirks, mutation quirks and villainous quirks He wanted to change the outlook of how this society became so he planned on becoming something that can change the world He would become a SYMBOL (Something messed with my book and wiped my description and tags so I had to re-do it) Certain characters will be 18+ My Hero Academia is owned and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi
