It's hard to surprise Luna. No matter how shocking things are, she normally just keeps pushing on. Even when she finds out that she's been stuck in the Avatar State in an Air Temple for a hundred years and that there's a war going on, she adapts to her new life very quickly. But things do surprise and  shock her. Hidden in the future, down every possible path, are things she never expected. 
There's more to Luna's past and heritage than she knew. 

But that's the future, first let's talk about the present:  

The master of all four elements, each reincarnation destined to protect the world and its people. 


Everyone knows about the avatar. 
However, very few know of the Onsra. 

The avatar's protector, also the master of all four elements, but destined for something else. To protect the avatar at all costs. The Onsra will live as long as the avatar, and sometimes even a bit longer. The Onsra can be born as close as the same village as the avatar, and as far as a completely different nation. More often than not, the Onsra turns out to be the avatar's soulmate as well as the protector. 

Avatar Aang's Onsra is an Air Nomad called Luna, she will journey with Aang, Sokka, and Katara, as well as going on adventures with just her and Aang...

Heimat: a place that you can call home; a sense of belongingness, acceptance, safety and connection to homeland A decade has passed after the final battle between the Avatar and the Fire Nation, a decade after the defeat of their Fire Lord. It is a time of prosperity for most, but the crimes commited during the war couldn't be reversed. Benders were taken away from their families, people were slaughtered, their belongings, homes and land taken away. This, had been the instance when it came to the northwest part of the Earth Kingdom, that had went on to become the Fire Nation colonies. The people of the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom lived on in the land that was given to them and gradually, they became one. They collaborated and cooperated in order to live and so they got richer, learnt to depend on each other for their survival. By the end of the war, the people, even though they came from different backgrounds, were one. A decade after the end of the war, the Avatar is commanded to solve the matter of whether the former Fire Nation citizens need to move or not. Aang believes the nations need to be separated. The people in the colonies do not, hatred starts to grow in their hearts. The Avarar will need the help of a companion more than any other time, and there is no better person to aid him than the secret waterbender that's part of the Fire Nation fleet, the woman who risked her own life to get him to safety, even though this had been the first time they had met in their lives. NOTE: Any characters that do not appear in Avatar: The Last Airbender belong to me. The atla universe belongs to the creators.

The Avatar ; bridge between the mortal and spirit world. For hundreds of years the Avatar kept the balance and peace between worlds, but that all changed when the water tribes of the north and south attacked. Only the Avatar master of the four elements, only he could stop the conquering nation but when those worlds needed him most he vanished. 🌊 🌳 🔥 🌪 After losing Ba Sing Se to Azula, Aang and the others continue to fight an increasingly hopeless battle against the Fire Nation. When Aang is finally able to contact his past lives again, many friends have been lost, and Aang is left so embittered that the past Avatars decide, in order to help Aang regain his sense of compassion, to send him to another world to relive the events leading up to the catastrophe again. Only he finds that this time he is brought to a distorted reality, where he must fight alongside Zuko and Azula for the war-torn Fire Nation Islands, against the savage Water Tribes. Trust will be tested, bonds might be strained, lives will be put on the line. Kiyan never expected to be the Avatar. And now that she is, she's finding she never even wanted to be. She's used to her old life as a simple waterbender, with no great spiritual burdens or destinies or whatever nonsense this Avatar business has suddenly forced on her. Now, she's constantly on the run from the crazy lunatics who murdered the last two Avatars, and who've made it their mission to end the Cycle entirely. In an attempt to finally get her out of their reach, her protectors decide that a time machine is the way to go, and send her back to 130AG, to Republic City to seek mentoring from Avatar Aang himself. Kiyan decides to wait out the end of the Hundred Years War in a little Earth Kingdom village with the family who's been kind enough to take her in. After all, she's safe there, and she never asked for this whole Avatar deal anyway.
