Ariana had lost everything.
Born as one of three triplets on the Ark, Ariana had never known a normal life. Because on the ark, every crime was punishable by Death. Ariana knew that better than anyone. She'd lost her mother, floated for the crime of having three children. She'd lost her oldest sister, floated for wanting to see the stars. She'd lost her other sister, placed with another family so that she could experience a normal life. And then she'd lost her father, when he didn't look for her or even acknowledge her existence after the death of their two family members.
Now Ariana was about to lose her best friend, currently waiting for review in the Skybox. Because he was being sent to the ground.
She'd lost too much to lose him too. Ariana knew that getting on that dropship was the only hope she had.
What happens though when she gets to the ground, only to discover that he wasn't the person she thought he was. That she wasn't who she thought she was.
That now. Everything had changed.

When Octavia, along with 99 other teenaged prisoners awaiting their death sentence, was scheduled to be sent to Earth in a desperate attempt to save humanity, with the Ark's dwindling life-support threatening its survival yet again, everything changes. Sure her Father loved her but she didn't get special treatment, the black blooded girl had to keep her blood a secret then put into a Hospital when the Council of the Ark found out. When word got out she had black blood she was picked on but Bellamy Blake helped, her she grew close to his whole family. One day her and Octavia went to a dance and Octavia got found at and trying to protect her Anastasia killed 4 guards then put into a sky box.That's where her story begins.

On the Ark, having a second child is illegal. Which can result in the parents of the second child getting floated, and the second child being locked up until they were old enough to get floated too, leaving the first born without a family. At least, unless you were one of the privilaged. Abigail Griffin knew the rules, so she wasn't entirely pleased when she found out she was pregnant with a second child. Her first born, Clarke, wasn't even a year old. When she and her husband confessed to the Chancellor, a close friend at the time, he gave them a choice. Basically, it was either kill the unborn child, or let her live her life with her family until she turned twelve. Once she turned twelve, into the skybox it is. With the idea of freedom, Hailey knows that she is never safe and that if weaknesses are shown, someone will use them against her. Will she be able to overcome her emotional and mental walls, even if it means that she'd be vulnerable? Being on the ground will change Hailey in ways that the people on the ark would never expect.
