"A man gone insane, after his wife left him for another man, set fire to his home and hanged himself." 

He tied my hands behind my back.

"Go to hell."  I choked slowly. The oxygen in air was decreasing rapidly. Caroline.

"'Tis quite a shame. To destroy such a handsome creature. You should not have played with fire." Loki snarled, but his voice was deep and calm at the same time. "Now how is it, this feeling of having nothing? Oh, pardon, I forgot you do share my memories." 

In that moment, the entire house erupted in a cry of pain, to its fundament. A part of the ground broke in. There was only one place the pieces could fall into, and Caroline was down there!

"C-Caroline - "  My voice was hardly hearable. I was losing vision, saw shapes and flames dancing around me, blue at first but fading into a pitch black darkness. I forced my eyes open and my mind to work.

"Do not worry. She will be safe with me, my friend."

I was told I'd find her again, but now..." His head drops. "Now I fear she's gone forever." My throat closes. "Can you tell me about her?" "There's nothing to tell," he murmurs.
