The journey out of our darkness.

All of my memories of my grandparents are of them being sick. I never got to truly spend quality time with them and then they died when I was only seven. I cannot remember most things from my early childhood because my mind was mainly flooded with darkness and couldn't concentrate on the happier things in life. I was getting bullied and I developed a learning disability. I struggled making friends and didn't really have any until middle school. Then I met my best friend and everything changed... My name is Caitlyn Hazzard, but my friends call me Hazz.

My early life has been hard. I have a learning disability and have epilepsy. I was also bullied and it was tough for me. I had a really hard time making friends and showing my emotions. I cannot remember a real time, I haven't been really happy by myself. I always think negatively and I didn't really love myself. I always cared what people thought of me. The only time I was happy was with family. I knew my family loved me for me. When I met my best friend that always stuck by me, is when everything changed. It was for the best. . . My name is Katelyn Johnston, but you can call me Katie.
