After the passing of her Grandmother, Aubrey Van Alen struggles to cope with her abusive foster parents. Her identity is a mystery and she has no recollection of her real parents. When she discovers her parents' immoral ways of life, she takes a dive into the past - literally. She is taken eight years back in time from a failed government invention and learns about her parents and the secrets to the illegitimate organization they work for. Through her journey, she finds herself falling in love with the charming Aiden Vanquel who follows the same lifestyle.
But, when she comes back to the present, she wonders if she will find Aiden. If he will remember her. But, instead, the people she hoped to escape from the past make their way into her life with one final mission: vengeance.
