A beautiful love story about two teens who find love in the most unexpected places while trying to figure out the meaning in life and death.
Sheltered since early childhood, beautiful but shy, Annie Elizabeth Grace (now 16) is only limited to the company of her parents, and her best friends because of a lung condition called Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, and a genetic disorder called Asthma. Although Annie is confined to her hospital room, to pass time, Annie enjoys her routine; treatment, therapy, reading books, fashion, worshipping god, drinking milkshakes and smoothies, and fighting off the constant affection from Julian Lensherr.
Julian Lindsay Lensherr is a carefree seventeen year old Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis patient at the UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital in San Francisco. He escapes his reality by drawing pictures of and chasing the affection of the in and out patient, Annie Grace. The only thing Julian is excited for is his 18th birthday, the day when he can finally go back to England and or travel the world.
The moment Annie and Julian meet, Annie seems to be impulsed by his weird nature and his know-it-all personality. By after long hours of facetime and emails, endless night of goodbyes, and careless dates around San Francisco, can their love save their lives or will they face Oblivion?

Check out my Instagram page: gold_n_dark for aesthetics and songs for the chapters. One in a million. The chances of them meeting were one in a million. And yet... They met. And more came. Neither of them met love until now. Each one had different reasons. One was too stubborn, arrogant, heartless and careless to want love; the other one was too kind, happy, hopefull, optimist and dreamy to see the love around her. Maybe that's why they attracted each other. Because they completed each other. The good - her - and the bad - him. But not quite... She could also be strubborn, grumpy, proud, impulsive; and he... he would be wearing a mask. A mask which made him seem harsh and impassive. But once he would take the mask off, it would relieve the wounds, the pain, the worries, the hope and above all, the love. They have many things in common and at the same time they are completely different. They could've not met, and yet they did. They could've not fallen in love, and yet they did. They could've forget and move on, and yet, they couldn't. In Nicole and Jake's story, at the beginning everything is about hate and how they can't stand each other, about how they would give anything to not be near each other. But everything ends with love and about love. Their love. And how it consumes them and it drives them insane. But they love that. This is their story. Nicole and Jake's story. It's about love: being in love and loving someone; about being broken and hurt and hurting the people around you; about growing up and becoming an adult. It's about being human.

Meet Leon, the charming high school boy who's been told his looks were always a "gift". On the outside it looks like he had everything he could ever want. But, his dashing looks made the one thing he really wanted out of his reach, something real. Every girl seemed so superficial in his eyes, except for one... He witnesses a mysterious girl stick up for a another student getting bullied on the first day of school. The act seemed so genuine and selfless in his eyes. Leon was entranced by it. From there on out, his life would be forever changed from this unknown person. But, would it be a short lived memory? Or was it the one thing he's always been looking for? Welcome to my romantic short novel, "A Gift and a Curse".
