Veena Kokoro is transferred from her hometown high school in Tokyo to Karasuno High in the middle of her freshman year. She's awkward enough with change as it is, but when she meets the quirky volleyball team (and unlikely group of friends), everything gets a whole lot more complicated, especially when the problem of soulmates comes into play.

Shueya Chihiro has been friends with the Karasuno volleyball team for most of her life, and she loves it. She's always been especially good at making friends, ever since she was little, but when her friendships start becoming something different, what is she to do?
