"Your scars...they are violent" he asked as he gently washed her broken body. Her naked back showed an arrangement of old and new scars, mixed with fresh bruises and tender wounds. He studied two of the larger scars on her back carefully. They were old, almost invisible to the naked eye. She said nothing. He continued asking his questions. "What are they from?" Still silence.
He continued to wash her, his hand moving over the ancient runes tattooed over her body. "what do they mean?" He knew there is magic in them, but he was unfamiliar with it, a feeling he is not used to. "Damn it, talk to me!" he demands. "Who did this to you?"
She sighed, turns her head slowly and glanced at him from over her shoulder "man" she said quietly. Humans? He was confused, he knew all the magics of man and didn't recognize this one. She went quiet again
