"Are you ever not going to be a pain in my ass for like five seconds?" Serena asked

"As a member of The League it's sort of my job to bring you in," he replied.

"What about your whole 'don't approach her without backup' thing or the 'she can wipe your mind with a snap of her fingers' which, by the way is incorrect, I don't need to snap my fingers to use my powers."

"Well by the time backup gets here you'll be gone, plus a little bit of rebelling never hurt anyone," Blackshot replied. "And don't worry, I'll remember to update the database with 'doesn't need to snap her fingers to kill innocents' once I get back," he added sarcastically.

"Stop pretending to be an idiot, idiot." Ouch. It burns. "You're starting to sound like a dear old friend of mine," she adds, her tone implying that her "friend" isn't so much of a "friend" as a mortal enemy who she probably also dragged into an alley on multiple occasions. Because she must be a fan of alley-dragging. Theater major. "I bet that friend was super amazing," I retort anyway. "She'd have to be to put up with you." Oh! Snap! I grin like an idiot at my own joke, realize how uncool that is, and then quickly rearrange my face into a frown. "I'm sorry. I don't quite understand. You're supposed to be a superhero, so why are you threatening a fellow superhero? Isn't that kind of against our code or whatever?" "You don't have a code. Superheroes who follow codes don't drop off information about people's allegedly dead sons at their doorsteps and then run." Well, can't say she doesn't have a point there. -- After being framed for the horrific murder of Birchwood City's most revered superhero's six year-old son, Maya Waterman abandons her super-villain persona and finds herself lost without any sense of identity and purpose. Being hunted by a vengeful super is hard enough, but after her employer fires her and she's evicted from her apartment, Maya begins to become something she had prayed she would never become again- helpless. She needs nothing less than a miracle to save herself, and much to her surprise, she gets just that-- even if it entails her trying her hand at becoming a good guy for once.

"Take your hand off me mutt this is the last time I am warning you," I spoke with a fake smile still on my face. It seemed that he had finally gotten the hint that I was done with playing around as his hand came to a halt. He glanced my way, and gauged that he could still push me more. "That's rather harsh of you to say, darling, considering you were begging me to continue touching you earlier today" My head whipped back faster than a boomerang traveling at the speed of light ready to give him a piece of my mind. "You fucking assho-" Feeling the tightening of his grip on my hip as I slid down to give my butt a squeeze. I was rendered speechless. Zero always found a way to win the argument using his conniving tricks. And he always did it with a smirk on his face. "Now don't cause a scene, your sister just got here " "This isn't over," "Never is," he smiled. *** Raised in a world filled with supernaturals Max was educated to detest werewolves the most. From an early age, she trained relentlessly to hunt down the supernatural. When she saw the opportunity to hunt down the recently infamous new Alpha King she jumped at the chance - maybe too quickly. Now captured by the new Alpha King, Max must confront her buried issues that all seem to have come to the surface after she meets Zero. Zero was a natural-born talent, to be good at anything the first time with minimal effort. Taking over as Alpha King was the only natural step for him after achieving countless incredible feats. His mind was focused on establishing his legacy. That all comes to a halt after he seems to have met his match in all ways, his one and only true mate - Max. My Misconceptions

31 parts Complete

As an orphan, Emma Johnson never exactly believed in miracles or magic of any kind. Or even the proclaimed superheroes everyone loved. That all changed the fateful night when she was mugged and attacked. At that point in her life, she had come to the conclusion that she wouldn't amount to much, and as she lied half-conscious on the ground, she couldn't help but think that she deserved this kind of death. She didn't want it, but it seemed appropriate to someone with nothing to call her own. Then in swoops in her own personal superman, saving her and taking her back to his place where she wakes up the next day. She is then surprised to find that everything she thought was fake before, was suddenly coming to life before her eyes. And what's even more shocking is, she's been in the middle of it her whole life. Description credit goes to my friend, dropsofargent, who so kindly wrote the description for me.
