"As a member of The League it's sort of my job to bring you in," he replied.

"What about your whole 'don't approach her without backup' thing or the 'she can wipe your mind with a snap of her fingers' which, by the way is incorrect, I don't need to snap my fingers to use my powers."

"Well by the time backup gets here you'll be gone, plus a little bit of rebelling never hurt anyone," Blackshot replied. "And don't worry, I'll remember to update the database with 'doesn't need to snap her fingers to kill innocents' once I get back," he added sarcastically.

Serena Van Kelpie is one of Silven City's most notorious Supers. When an unforeseen threat descends on her world, she is forced to question every decision she's made as a Super. So with a band of misfits and a few unexpected additions to their team, they learn that their is no room for secrets if they are to defeat him. But Serena's life revolves around secrets, and when they come out, she faces some of the hardest decisions of her life. Is she the person The League thinks she is, or is she the person her friends see her as? Serena can't run from her past forever, and when the time comes, she has to choose between the fate of her team or the only thing she's ever wanted in her life.

As an orphan, Emma Johnson never exactly believed in miracles or magic of any kind. Or even the proclaimed superheroes everyone loved. That all changed the fateful night when she was mugged and attacked. At that point in her life, she had come to the conclusion that she wouldn't amount to much, and as she lied half-conscious on the ground, she couldn't help but think that she deserved this kind of death. She didn't want it, but it seemed appropriate to someone with nothing to call her own. Then in swoops in her own personal superman, saving her and taking her back to his place where she wakes up the next day. She is then surprised to find that everything she thought was fake before, was suddenly coming to life before her eyes. Being hunted by a vengeful super is hard enough, but after her employer fires her and she's evicted from her apartment, Maya begins to become something she had prayed she would never become again- helpless. She needs nothing less than a miracle to save herself, and much to her surprise, she gets just that-- even if it entails her trying her hand at becoming a good guy for once.
