This is book one of three in my planned series, "The Adventures of Aries Nestoris".
A young Ardoni writer, Aries Nestoris, embarks on a journey after writing an article about the closure of the Basalt Mines in Felden. He is still a child, even younger than Senn, a main character from the source material, Songs of War, but is adventurous, following his three core instincts alone: His Head, Heart, and Gut. He soon learns that not everything in the world is as happy and pure as him, however, and his character experiences great growth throughout the story. He uses his Songs, tools, and instincts to assist him in collecting all of the knowledge he can.
