"You're a terrible father for an angel," Crowley said, accusingly. "I'm a demon, and I make a far better mother." --- Aziraphale is almost certain that Crowley is only being perverse. But demons are unaccountable creatures, and Aziraphale finds himself flying to New York with him anyway.

Sure, he misses Crowley terribly, but Heaven is his home, right? ••• Hello! My goal is for this to be pretty angsty, but I can never seem to write angst without solving it in the same chapter. Their kiss continued, brutal and hot. Aziraphale suddenly remembered how his arms worked circled them around the demon's waist pulling him closer. Crowley broke off the kiss with a sharp inhale and moved his head to rest against the angel's. "Tell me to leave, angel." Raw need vibrated through the demon's voice. He pressed his forehead against Aziraphale's. His hands trembled as they cradled the angel's face. He took another ragged breath. "You don't want to do this! You don't want this from me!" Now it was Aziraphale's turn to take a inhale deeply. Their mouths were so close that their breath mingled. He could feel heat from the demon, from their pressed foreheads, down his chest, to his groin. He drained away the minor alcohol in his system and let cold, hard clarity wash over him. This was...dangerous. This was wild and thoughtless. Hedonistic. This should stop. That would be for the best. Safe. Sane. Responsible. "No" Aziraphale's voice ghosted the word. Then bolder, louder, steadier "Stay, please. I want this." He clasped his hands against the demon's and tipped his head back to meet Crowley's eyes. "I want you."

Crowley finds his secret conviction that the world was designed for his personal entertainment severely tested by the bloody boring fourteenth century. But what is he a demon for, if not to spice things up a bit? It's irrelevant that a certain angel is taking his orders seriously for once and embarking on a life of self-denial and doing good. That isn't the reason Crowley is bored, at all. And he certainly isn't acting up to get Aziraphale's attention because he's desperately in love or anything.

This time, the door closed with a stifling sense of irrevocability. This time, Crowley wasn't just walking out of his bookshop. This time, Crowley was walking out of his life. I forgive you. Foolish. Stupid. Cruel. Those hadn't been the words sitting at the tip of his tongue. Far from it. But it didn't matter. Those had been the words he spoke, and he couldn't take them back now. ~oOo~ Or, the one where Aziraphale realises he needs to ask Crowley's forgiveness this time. Meanwhile, Crowley is just trying to make the Bentley stop playing Taylor Swift.
