The kingdoms of Sorean and Ikharyn have always been at war with each other, for as long as anyone could remember. Ava, a 20-years-old orphaned shieldmaiden, knows no other life beyond her training as part of the Valkyries, a subdivision of the Ikharyn Elite Guard, made up entirely of women. All that is about to change when her kingdom is attacked by the Sorean King in an attempt to stop a prophecy from being fulfilled. Ava then goes on a mission to avenge her fallen sisters. With the help of her newfound gypsy friends, she manage to infiltrate the Sorean castle only to find herself captured and tortured in the hands of a Sorean Prince.
Magical bondage,
riding crop,
and blindfold aside,
she cannot fathom the person behind the Prince's cold dragon mask. But Ava eventually discovers that everything is not as it seems in this endearing coming-of-age story about magic, war, friendship and of course, love. Dubbed a Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, A Tale of Two Kingdoms is a story about how love can overcome prejudice and ultimately, conquers all.

Taken away from her at a young age were the only two people who would love her no matter what-her parents. Their love was all-consuming, the kind that anchored her, until the day it vanished in a single breath, a flash of arrows. Now, all she had left was the memory of that love-a fragile thread she clung to, one that only made the darkness around her grow deeper. By the age of nineteen, Valrie and her sister found themselves in an orphan house, working the land to survive. They grew and harvested ingredients, selling them to market buyers and the kingdom to stay afloat. But desperation leads to mistakes, and one day, they were caught "stealing" from the kingdom itself. The punishment was swift, and they were dragged to Eirondale-a breathtaking kingdom with towering castles and lush landscapes, ruled by a cold-hearted dynasty that thrives on power and control. The beauty of the kingdom was suffocating, like a thorned rose, stunning yet deadly. Among the grand halls and cold stone walls, Valrie soon caught the eye of not one, but two princely brothers, both equally dangerous and cruel in their own ways. But it wasn't just the princes. The King-ruthless and feared-had taken a darker interest in Valrie. In this world of beauty and malice, where power ruled and compassion was scarce, Valrie had unknowingly become a pawn in a game far more sinister than she could have imagined. Now, she had to navigate the dangers of a royal court, where everyone wore a mask of grace but wielded daggers of ambition and deceit behind their backs. The princes might toy with her heart, but the King... he could destroy her entirely.

30 parts Complete

When Raiden is told by the Sage Witches he must kidnap Trifica Larkin for the sake of their world he sighs a bit, complains a bit more, but ultimately accepts the task-as he always does. Guilt has a funny way of making him feel obligated. However, this job isn't like all the others and not just because Trifica reminds Raiden of his old love who died centuries ago. This time, the job means all of creaturekind will perish if he fails. It doesn't help that along the way his ring-the sole item capable of keeping him alive-becomes broken, that a shadow wolf war is about to begin, or that their enemy seems to know horrible truths about himself he'd buried so deeply he had nearly forgotten. Trifica, however, finds herself quite pleased to be kidnapped. She's sick of being a Kalied, the second lowest of all species. She wants to flee from her mother's disapproving glare and if she has to travel with Raiden across the Realm as they try to avoid dying, so be it. Except the closer Trifica and Raiden get to the Sage Witches, where safety and answers await them, the more questions and danger they realize lies ahead.
