Life hasn't exactly gone according to plan for 26 year old Dawn. For starters, she always thought that she would have met the man of her dreams by now. But, if he's out there, she hasn't found him. Then there's the fact that she can't seem to find a job that doesn't involve hair nets, greasy food, or flimsy plastic bags. She's in debt up to her eyeballs and despite the promises of her college recruiter, no one is hiring. And that all adds up to her having to move back in with her mother, the woman whose favorite pastime is reminding her that her biological clock is ticking. But, that's not even the worst detail in the sad story that is Dawn's life. The worst part... ...Dawn is about to kick off the zombie apocalypse. (Art by me. Took me a while to do this. So this is the new book cover :3) Humanity has always been curious creations that never learnt quickly from their mistakes.. Greedy... and prideful... we'd do anything to achieve our goals... even if it meant ending the world... Scientists had experimented on humans for a long time, making different breakthroughs and some failures... but this one was their most astonishing and regretful discovery.. with a mistake in their calculations as well as their subject. A virus was created and this virus was passed on to Everyone in the hospital lab quickly causing the first zombie infected appearance. At first it was mild... but like a wild fire, it spread round the city and nearly around the world... humanity was pushed back, homes destroyed....bond broken.... and many more problems came. But after all, humans can adapt quickly. And quick did they adapt... creating weapons that work for both infected and mercenaries alike, humanity had found a way to survive again. Trying to survive the apocalypse isn't just about slaying the undead. It's a 𝘸𝘩𝘰𝘭𝘦 lot more complicated than that. Hardly anybody ever considers the barbaric murderers with the Cheshire Cat smiles or the cunning killers lurking around for their next victim to slice open. Or what about the huge range of communities out there, trying their best to thrive in the new world? Surely, not all of them are bad... right? Well, Brooklyn Scotts would be inclined to disagree to that last point made. For the girl has been surviving on her own since it all started, joining and leaving small groups here and there. Zombie Fieldtrip
four quirky best friend + three seemingly useless (but cute) boys + the most popular guy in school turned zombie + a stoner found hiding in a cupboard = a surprisingly efficient rat-tag group of zombie slayers on their way up the east coast of australia to their safe haven. Some of them may have biceps for brains, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. BEWARE: excessive amounts of pop culture references, bad jokes and zombie guts ahead.
