People say that the eyes are the windows to your soul, and many do believe such things. That's one of the many allures to looking into another's gaze. It's easy to see what someone feels from a single glance.

But for Haruka, it's a bit different.

Haruka hides her eyes from the world, not because she is afraid of them, but the reactions of any who see. Many times in her life, she has been forced to flee from hoards of people looking to catch a glimpse of her brilliant eyes. She became afraid after they people became too desperate and too rowdy. So she hid. And she will remain that way until the day she dies.

At least, that's what she thought.
