The Civil War is being fought along the Carolina coast. In a shanty inhabited by a grandmother and granddaughter, two Union soldiers thrash into the underbrush, making their way to the weather-beaten shack.

Things go terribly awry when the character flaw of opportunism strikes the commanding officer. 

This story is based on a True Account of a Deathbed revelation in South Carolina newspaper archives when I was researching my novel, "Jenkins: Confederate Blockade Runner".

Soon, Lacey is tormented by more than just her friends drool worthy posts of crystal clear waters, but something far more sinister who's attentions quickly go from curious, to murderous.
