The Canadian wilderness. A vast forest filled with animals large and small. Wolves, deer, mountain lions, moose, lynxes... and bears.
This is the story about a bear. Not just any bear but a polar bear, the largest carnivore on the planet. More specifically, Avery Nanuk a polar bear shifter. Avery Nanuk lives a calm peaceful life as a school nurse working in a school built just for shifters like him. He was found as a cub out in the woods many years before and was adopted into a small wolf pack up in the northern reaches of Canada. Avery has grown up as the only bear shifter in the area and has grown used to the fact of living alone. All Avery wants is a normal and peaceful life living out in the woods in his cozy little cabin and his outdoor swimming pool. But the fates have something else in store. The fates send a bear sized wrecking ball into Avery's once peaceful life. And that wrecking ball's name is Rick Kodiak.

Well, this wasn't exactly what Sebastian thought he was going to have to deal with when he came to this forest. He was looking for a werebear that had lost its mind somewhere out here. But now he seemed to stumble upon a werewolf instead. He must have been in really bad shape to be that far gone. He was glad that he had found the right song to sooth and calm him. Now that the beast's rage was gone, it was slowly transforming into a human form. He hadn't really dealt with werewolves that much. They usually knew how to handle themselves and conduct themselves accordingly with society. It made this one all the stranger of an experience. "It's okay, buddy," he pet its head. "You're alright now. Rest your head and know that you are safe." The beast's head was resting on his lap as he hummed softly at it. Petting ever so gently right between his ears, he watched as the beast relaxed, slowly turning into the human form that was connected to it. The face took the longest to shift, but the man looked so peaceful when Sebastian was able to see it. And then he saw the rest of the man that was laying partly on top of him. Oh no. He forgot that they aren't clothed when they shifted. A blush came to his cheeks as he forced his eyes to stay on the man's face. Dammit all.
