This is my (inconsistent) dream journal, beginning even with dreams I had in elementary school that I can recall. I've organized the chapters in chronological order, to the best of my ability, beginning in dreams I can remember all the way back to when I was in preschool. Content warnings are given with each chapter that may need them. Nightmares are marked as NM in the title. NSFW is marked in the title. I cannot control my dreams, especially my nightmares, so some of my dreams may contain heavy and/or potentially triggering content. Redemption Reserved for Superheros
(edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do. Although not technically fan fiction, there is a nod to Final Fantasy games. The cover photo is a shared copyright, Brian Barbour took the photo, I added treatments.Complete
