“You get used to it after a while- Wait, actually no, you don’t.” I paused. “It’s kind of like walking in the pitch black and you can feel her hand in yours leading you forward. You just go with it and hope you don’t fall.”
“Where’s the light at the end of the tunnel?”
“Behind you, but then you have to let go of her hand.”
“But if you don’t ever go into the darkness you won’t have to worry about falling,” he frowned.
“Well it’s not easy, but that’s how you know it's worth it."
