Senior year had never seemed so daunting.

After her sister died, Avery found out just how much she hid behind Riley and how comfortable it had been to live through her stories instead of living her own.

Realizing that and making a change, however, were two different things, as Avery soon understood. But life had not given her much of a choice.

Maintaining a safe distance between herself and all those who used to know Riley was her miserable attempt at dealing with the grief. But she saw her strategic plan crumble, forced to face the friends she had been pushing away.

The year she believed she could breeze through was revealing itself to be the year she must face all the pain she had been repelling.

And there was no one to hide behind now.

Love? No thanks. Cassidy Jordan won't open her heart to anyone after a devastating romance caused her death the first time she turned eighteen. As a second-timer returned from the afterlife, all that stands between her and eternity is finding some guy named Riley Davis and helping him get his life on track. But no one told her helping Riley would mean dating him. When Cassidy realizes she's falling for Riley, she's faced with a choice: give him the life he's meant for and leave this life when it's time, or give up eternity for the true love she's never had, knowing Riley will die the same way she did in her first life and that her entire existence could end at any time. From Chapter Nine: It's as though I'm under a spell as I put one foot in front of the other, feeling Riley's hand pressed against the small of my back. My body is going crazy with the tingling I feel. I must stumble, because he steadies me and we stop a few feet away from my front door. I find myself moving even closer to him, and for a moment, I'm not Cassidy. There's something familiar in the energy I feel. Riley's face blurs in front of me, and then there's the outline of a face I used to know well. The outline I can see looks like David. The last time I stood in a driveway about to kiss someone, it was him. I want to say his name, but I can't move my lips. Then my vision clears and it's Riley in front of me again, his head bending down and his eyes holding mine. The energy pull between us is magnetic, and I hold my breath when his fingertips come up to my chin. This can't happen. I try to tell myself that, but the rest of me isn't listening. My eyes close and every nerve in my body seems to hum as I wait for what's coming. Teen Romance / Supernatural Romance / Paranormal Romance / Young Adult Romance

CHAPTERS EDITED☑️ "Do i remember?" I stare back confused "Do you remember..." she starts then looks down contemplating whether she should continue or not. She then takes a deep breath and looks back into my eyes " do you even remember how you got it?" She asks. I furrow my brows in thought but i surprisingly don't remember how it happened. "or when? Or where? Or for what reason? Or what it even means?!" She snaps agitated by my silence. I look into her searching eyes, all i see is a sad broken girl, then I look at the sand beneath my feet in hopes of remembering when exactly i got it. I tried remembering but nothing popped up. I let out a frustrated breath and ran a hand through my hair. I look back at her about to answer but she reads my expression knowing my answer "you don't remember" she nods knowingly __________________________________________ The craziest thing happened...
