I am in the middle of the apocalypse. Not the zombie apocalypse. Just the... I don't really know. I passed out and woke up in front of this care bear mansion. There was a group of teens, everybody else seeming to know each other, but I knew no one. I had been here for a couple of years before I started to question everything. Where was this place? What was outside? Where was my parents? So, I formed a group of teens (one now an adult), aka the only one who would come with me. Roy (the genius); Lindsey(the risk taker who is an awesome engineer); Me (who is a creative person and can think of ideas? Okay, okay, mostly the monster distracter), and then there's Mason. He is an amazing monster fighter and can help us (i.e me) out of sticky situation. Literally. But, he is cold and aloof, yet I can't help but be attracted to him. Sometimes I have to remind myself to be professional.
Hopefully, we succeed.
Hopefully, we don't die a horrible death.

~Thank you for the continued love for this series! I was 13 when I began this book, and am now taking the time to go back to completely rewrite it, and maybe just publish someday~ I'm 15 and my name is Astrix. Let's start with that. That seems like an easy thing to start with. Now, let me add in some other details. I live in a zombie apocalypse. Yeah, that's about as enjoyable as I can make it seem. Now let me add in something else. I'm wanted by the CIA for reasons that I don't even know, but I guess I will find out eventually. Maybe somewhere within my story I will figure it out. I'm well known as The Bad Ass for reasons that are kind of obvious once you meet me. Maybe that's why they're after me? Because I'm a Bad Ass? Nope, I doubt that. Well anyways, the answers are out there. Along with the answers to my past. The answer to life even. Maybe it really is 42 but I don't think it would hurt to start looking at one. So here we go. "Hey, who are you?" I could tell he wasn't trying to scare him off while still trying to establish the fact that we could hurt him if we wanted to. She said there was a whole network of teens out here, but there's a camp somewhere in Florida that gives them a place to stay. Secret, of course, and run by teens, but anyway, it seems safer than being out here and living off the land." "Wait, you mean there are more of us?" He was so focused on the strand, but then his focus spread to my eyes, the look in his eyes. Jesus, I'm going to melt. He was looking at me like his universe surrounded me, like I knew the answers, like I could fix his cracks. I smelt something calming, like the smell of rain and vanilla and suddenly, a guy came in charging at Gabriel. Gabriel didn't have any time to react as he was knocked to the ground.
