A story about the betrothal of the son of one of the most brutal and sadistic rulers of Eastern Europe and the respectable daughter of a good duke. A story about death, loss, love, pain, happiness, hatred, and last but not least, about the unimaginable and the untold, mysterious and unpredictable things that linger in the darkness (and in the light) on this planet that we, humans, call home.
