After a long stressful day, sometimes all a person can think of is going to bed and forgetting about it all. Because what could possibly threaten you while sleeping? Apparently, in Asher's world, starting university isn't what's going to alter her life, for it all depends on a dream.
Asher being the introverted, simple and collected girl that she is, never thought that her whole future would depend on a dream. An actual dream, where she'll wake up and have to fight for Thomas, the supposed love of her life, who turns out to be arrogant and against love by all its means. 
Her fight quickly transforms into survival. She's stuck between trying to make Thomas see beyond his struggles, and attempting to stay alive so she can return to her normal worries.
she starts questioning if love is even worth all this trouble.
How can she possibly live a reality when it's all just a dream?
