Brooke was a normal teenager. Enjoying her summer break. Going to parties, hanging out with friends, being reckless, until she gets the call. Her father was in a head on collision and was killed on impact. She was devastated and to make things worse, she doesn't even know who did it. She might never find out or will she? Going into junior year is going to be tough or will it? A new kid might be the medicine Brooke needs. Will he be able to help her? As Brooke and the new kid get close, she gets the feeling that he isn't telling her something, but she brushes it aside because she has something more important to worry about. Will she be able to forget about the accident and forgive the nameless person who caused it?

Complete! "You know I really like you, right?" He was definitely drunk. "You do?" I asked. My voice was supposed to be teasing, but I think it came off as a bit startled. He laughed, "Yeah, why else would I trust you with all my secrets?" -- Betty was many things; a romantic, a fashion designer, a bit more jealous than the average girl, great with a camera, a helpful daughter and a good friend. But she was best known for being nice. And usually, the boy did not want the 'nice' girl. But this summer she was going to prove to Mike, her crush since FOREVER, that nice was enough. She was going to have an amazing summer, a perfect Junior year, and finally have her first kiss. It was a foolproof plan. Moving from her childhood home in Arizona to New Mexico at the start of Junior year was never a part of Betty's plan. But sometimes when parents are involved, plans change. So now the nice girl had to start over at a new school in a new State. And when the (maybe not so bad) bad boy, Eli, gets involved, it might be hard to be known as 'the nice girl'.
