Fourteen-year-old Astra Hammond is the daughter of Andros and Ashley Hammond, the red Space ranger and the second yellow Turbo and yellow Space ranger. When she was seven, Astra's father gave her the Astromegaship Mark III (nicknamed the Astramegaship) and she was off with her friends, Delilah and Derek Johnson, her cousin, Kara Nimmo, and her younger brother, Orion. Five years later, their parents, Andros, Ashley, Cassie, T.J., and Zhane, along with Carlos were called on a mission and sadly never returned, but not before Andros gave Astra a necklace with a small rocketship on it which she hardly ever takes off. They thought that all hope was lost for their parents, when suddenly, two years after the incident, a call from Andros goes through, now it's up to the five of them, along with Karone, to find a new black ranger and then their parents. WIll they do it in time? Or will it be too late?

Ever since her real family died, she's felt lost, like she never really belonged anywhere, until she found the Samurai Rangers again. First, the bonds she felt with them returned and now they are her true family. She finally feels as if she belongs, but if only all of the Nighlok could be defeated by her and her alone, without the rest of the team. She has all of the pressure of being one of the only two of the team who could possibly beat Master X on their own, but only if they had no other choice. After all, her title is the Last Defender. She is the Ace in the Hole that they didn't have last time. Last time, when Jayden's father had managed to temporarily seal Master Xandred away... The samurai rangers didn't have the Silver Ranger with them, because Silver's parents had forced their entire family to run. This time around, it will be different, or so the rest of the team thinks. But Silver, Mentor, and Jayden know the truth, botu of what can happen, and what could be the cost, if it does indeed come to fruition. Silver will gladly die for her friends, but she refuses to die like her family did running away from the fight that they were needed in. But the pressure is getting to her. The News about being the Last Defender, Antonio's return to the Shiba House to help, the news that she might have other family out there left. The news about which of that says she could indeed be the only one who could truly help Jayden, as he uncovers the power of the sealing symbol. *A Power Rangers Beast Morphers fanfic* Kalindi McCall (known by her friends as Kali) always felt like an outsider. She was into karate and video games, things people wouldn't expect a typical young adult girl to be into. On top of that, she was a hardcore Power Rangers history nerd. That's the whole reason why she got into karate in the first place. That's also how she met her best friend, Devon Daniels. Not only did they share the same interests, but they also both felt like disappointments to their parents. One day, both of their wildest dreams come true...but in completely different ways.
