Despite twenty years of peace and prosperity, Jin Guangyao's assessment of the world still proves itself to be truer than even Jin Guangyao could have imagined.

This is a fanfiction based on the story from the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu and the drama adaptation the Untamed (taking inspiration from both sources) exploring how the characters have evolved following the plot of the Novel/Drama. It is written as if it is a sequel to the novel, so the assumption is that you know what happened in the novel/drama (i.e. read the novel if you haven't yet and support the creators of the original content). Most of the historical details are from the novel, but some are from the drama (like Lan Wangji becoming Chief Cultivator instead of Nie Huaisang).

I've taken the creative liberty of adding characters and locations. My Chinese is not great, so while I tried to stick to the naming practice the author employs in the original novel, I cannot be quite so elegant in articulating ideas through Chinese names, so please excuse that. Other than those original characters, credits go to the original creators. Also, I occasionally quote the original material, sometimes I will use Exile Rebels Scan's translation, sometimes I will quote from the drama, and sometimes I will use my own translation of either the novel text or the drama dialogue.
