This is a completely different universe, Minato doesn't travel between worlds or some shit, he's from Remnant and Personas are his Semblance, though he doesn't unlock it until the events of the first episode.
Minato was a normal kid, until his parents died in a car crash, as you do. He has bounced around foster homes and eventually just lived on the streets. After the crash he lost most of his feelings except for that nagging voice telling him to help people. So he does. What will happen when he goes to beacon academy? Yeah I don't fuckin know right now.
