The story centres on two childhood best friends: Zara Caine and Scarlet Takeuchi. As high schoolers, they created a band duo under the name ScarZar with Zara in charge of lyrics and Scarlet in charge of main vocals and the band's guitarist.
Years later, a mysterious upcoming band emails ScarZar to become official members of their band. While Scarlet is ecstatic that she will be able to realize her lifelong dream, Zara is skeptical as she has given up that same dream in favour for a more realistic career. Refusing to accept that Zara is no longer interested in the music industry, Scarlet suggests that she should use this opportunity to rediscover her passion for songwriting and start her professional career in law. Convinced, both girls travel to New York to pursue their respective paths within the new band.
What happens next will change their lives forever. From complicated relationships to internal struggles, they'll have to face the melodies that created their melancholies.
