I remember meeting Prince Zuko very early in my life. He was different back then. For one, he had no scar on his face. But he was also still a sweet little boy.
He was still that person somewhere on the inside, but the scar was a visual reminder of the changes he had undergone both physically and mentally.
There was no doubt he was lost. But was I wasting my time by trying to help him find his way again? Maybe.
But I didn't think so.

This story follows an original character Sora as she accompanies the Prince on his journey. Fair warning that there will be changes made to the story. I do not own ATLA or any of the character besides Sora. However, I don't believe writing an OC story makes any sense unless they play an active role in the story. But I promise it will still be the story you know and love.

Fire is deadly and can leave a path of destruction along the way, fire can scar. But so can Water. Like Fire, water can freeze into ice and can leave many cuts and scars. Both can be deadly when misused. Water and Fire can't be too different. Or are they? Zuko is a fire bender, but not just any fire bender he is the son of the fire lord. Kadia is a water bender, the daughter of the village Chief. When events lead to Kadia being captured by the fire nation Prince she realises that although Fire and Water are often referred to as opposites, they might not be so different after all. Kadia learns to realises that the many lessons she learnt growing up where nothing but prejudice. Or where they? Can she get over her emotional scars and learn to heal? Or was everything she witnessed an elaborate act all along made by the fire prince and his uncle? An act to trick her in letting her guard down and betray her siblings and the Avatar. Will she be able to trust again or does this scar run too deep to heal? Kaz had always known she had two talents: firebending and getting caught up in her own reckless decisions. Probably that's why she ended up as a fugitive of the Fire Nation and part of a secret society. As long as she got to see the world it couldn't be too bad right? It could, especially if ones gets caught in between an angry old friend, two distrusting siblings and a way too peaceful Avatar. -Kaz observed Katara while she stomped towards the ginormous fluff that was Appa. Then she moved her eyes towards Sokka, he was already sitting on the saddle and was holding his boomerang in what was meant to be a threatening way. She sighed and turned to Aang at her side. "They really hate me huh?" The Avatar looked back at her sheepishly. "Maybe hate is too strong of a word, they just have to get used to you. In any case I'm your friend now so you can lighten up!" Kaz raised one of her brows. "We've known each other for approximately three hours." Aang just gave her a huge smile. "Yeah, but in these three hours you saved my life and healed my friends" Kaz looked at the sky. "Bonding experiences I guess." She mumbled. If possible Aang smiled even wider. "Exactly!".-
