I remember meeting Prince Zuko very early in my life. He was different back then. For one, he had no scar on his face. But he was also still a sweet little boy.
He was still that person somewhere on the inside, but the scar was a visual reminder of the changes he had undergone both physically and mentally.
There was no doubt he was lost. But was I wasting my time by trying to help him find his way again? Maybe.
But I didn't think so.

This story follows an original character Sora as she accompanies the Prince on his journey. Fair warning that there will be changes made to the story. I do not own ATLA or any of the character besides Sora. However, I don't believe writing an OC story makes any sense unless they play an active role in the story. But I promise it will still be the story you know and love.

Being dragged back to their homeland, she happens upon the opportunity to work within the Firelord's palace as the Prince's attendant. Being the same age as the Prince, Zuko, the two become friends. But as time passes, (Y/n)'s feelings for the Prince chance as well. Fire is deadly and can leave a path of destruction along the way, fire can scar. But so can Water. Like Fire, water can freeze into ice and can leave many cuts and scars. Both can be deadly when misused. Water and Fire can't be too different. Or are they? Zuko is a fire bender, but not just any fire bender he is the son of the fire lord. Kadia is a water bender, the daughter of the village Chief. When events lead to Kadia being captured by the fire nation Prince she realises that although Fire and Water are often referred to as opposites, they might not be so different after all. Kadia learns to realises that the many lessons she learnt growing up where nothing but prejudice. Or where they? Can she get over her emotional scars and learn to heal? Or was everything she witnessed an elaborate act all along made by the fire prince and his uncle? An act to trick her in letting her guard down and betray her siblings and the Avatar. Will she be able to trust again or does this scar run too deep to heal?
