Fix Me, I'm Broken
Walking into an empty house is normal to me. I guess I got tired of saying 'I'm home' when nobody is home to reply. It wasn't always like this. I remember when our family was close. Now we don't see each other any more. We don't talk to each other. We don't eat with each other. We don't ACKNOWLEDGE each other. This all happened after my 'Mother' killed herself. My father blames me. This is my story about how I learned to not count on anyone else but myself. I'm broken. I'm used. No one can fix me. But when the New Boy in town tries to fix me, everything will change. Good change or Bad change, I don't know. Only time will tell. Falling in love with an enemy knowingly is wrong. What if, it happens unknowingly? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ " W-what this? " I lost the ability to speak English properly. Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. "Why do bad things happen to good people?" One of the many things that scares humans; as their was really no way to control it... One of the many things that changed her life forever. ~ "Please don't leave me." I pleaded, looking down at my my limp mother. Her blood went around us, staining the floor. This is all my fault... If only I had locked the door that night. The intruders words rang through my head, over and over again; like a broken record. "This is all your fault." My father spit. Breaking anything in his path. That day the old him was gone, never to return. The nightmare of this day would haunt me in my sleep; as my life was never the same. Life was unfair, the world is a horrible place. It was like everything came crashing down at one moment. The only person I had left after that was my best friend... We slowly grew apart as he didn't know what went on behind the doors of my house. Years passed, as the day still made my life worse. Not having the money to move I was still stuck in the same house... By the same river. Soon anouther murrder happened, the same way as... My mother's. Suspicions spread though the small town. A twenty minute ride to there. I would live in town to if I had the money. That day when the decective came to the door; it was just fate. As I didn't know it then... But, he would save me. It... Was just something about the way he looked at me; that made my heart go a mile a minute.
