"Witches don't burn, they only remain on the land, air, and water forever. You might have burned them but they are the elements." No one knew where they came from, no one knew how they thrive through this earth. But we do, for we are ancient one. The left-overs of the once great civilization. Our father was the founding father of the Arazona tribe. He ruled the tribe peacefully when a king of the great conqueror came to visit. He said that our tribe can conquer all lands and unite the minor tribes in one. So, our father was convinced for he wishes that our people would have a happy life. We left the rainforests and traveled across many countries. The conqueror was right, through time our tribe foster and became most respected as we were able to bend the land, water, air and other forces of the universe. As years fall, the conquerors became more hungry for power. They began to raid settlements, captured innocent people and sold them as slaves. Our tribe refused to support such slavey and the king wants us to be vanished from his land. But our father negotiated with him and had us move into the east. Once again, we started our livelihood in a new and strange place and that's when we called our land as the city of Arazon. Where witches powerful as us dwell. But the place was nothing but just a trap by those greedy conquerors. They had us in a massive ambush, slaughtered every bit of our ancestors. Yet defeat doesn't mean as end, our spirits has respawned from every aspects of the universe - derived into different life forms. The Arazonas are known to be the protector of the elements bestowed upon us with witchcraft and sorcery.

Two hundred years of peace have passed in Zertima, a land filled with magic, creatures, and mages. However, after those two hundred years comes an era of fear, fighting, and death. The Venom's Curse, known as the world's greatest danger, has climbed up to reach a level of great power, with the help of his fierce hunger for battle and commanding, that is strong enough to possibly secure his rule of the entire mage world. In order to save Zertima from potential collapse and eternal perishing, four young mages are found, called the Elemental Mages. The Mages - Water, Earth, Fire, and Air - are taken to a sheltered location named the Mage Sanctuary to train together and prepare for their eventual battle with the Venom's Curse and to rid of the trepidation he has cast across all of Zertima. However, not all of the Mages are willing to commit their life to train with the others and help save the mage world. Ignacia, the Elemental Mage of Fire, is the newest and last mage to be Founded and come to the others. Along with easily getting into arguments with Water Mage Salil, she is in an internal battle with herself trying to decide what choice she should really choose to carry through with. *Book originally inspired by "The Burning Sky" by Sherry Thomas.
