Blind Promises
A lonely girl from a small town in Oklahoma finds herself in the middle of Seattle, Washington. What she didn't know was fate was about to deal her a hand that she needed to help put all her demons back where they belonged, locked away for good. A war hardened soldier, blinded in an attack while doing a black ops mission, was sitting there with his friend at a movie night of all things when an angel walked into the room. What little vision he did have gave him the notion that an ethereal being had just graced his presence. Little did he know, she'd be stuck with him for the foreseeable future after an unexpected attack. At first she was drawn to his service dog, but then it wasn't long before she couldn't keep her mind off of him. Which was good because he had no plans of ever letting her go. Sight unseen, he'd decided she was the most beautiful thing he'd ever met. He knew he had issues she didn't deserve to have to handle. She knew she had a past that he wouldn't want to deal with. But fate had other plans for the two lovers, a blind promise. Can they work through their differences, their mental health challenges, and the dangerous situations that come their way?Complete

'You should write a story about that.' It's a line that writers hear a lot, a bit like comedians in a bar being told. 'Here's a joke for you.' Best to smile politely and change the subject or get a round in. There are occasions when I didn't do either, and there will be occasions I don't do that in the future. These stories are and will be the result. I also include the background to the story for the curious but I'll keep the identities secret. I don't want you chasing them down in search of ideas for your next novel. :) The Daylight Room: A very young boy understands that what he did was wrong. What he doesn't understand is that the punishment is much, much wronger.

In the world we live in today, speaking seems to be the only way one knows how to communicate; as if it is the only way to communicate- or is it? There are many unique children, scattered around the world, who are labelled as, "special needs", or "autistic", or ADHD. And these labels usually come with a negative stigma attached to them. But, what if- what if these children were just... different? What if these children are here, to show us a different, and more unique way of living. What if they are not in need, of "special attention"? What if they are just: special. **I WROTE THIS WHEN I WAS 13** Caleb is the typical guy that every girl wants. He's hot and charming, and he knows that very well. What makes him even more popular is that Caleb isn't a player. He knows how to treat a girl and he's friendly with everyone, making him irresistible. Then, his everyday life takes a different twist one sunny day. It's weird to see him annoyed that his homeroom teacher called him in from his football practice to deliver homework to a classmate, a girl named Rose that refuses to go to school. Rose takes the online classes instead, and the homeroom teacher wants her to come back in class for a certain reason. The school can't risk her getting expelled for skipping. Caleb goes to Rose's house, confident that he can convince her to come to school. But he didn't expect a quiet but beautiful house. He is directed by her parents to leave her stuff in her room and to leave quickly. Curiosity takes the best of him and Caleb wanders around the gorgeous house. He enters a closet. And he also didn't expect a girl, the classmate 'living' in that closet. Rose's blind and she's deaf. The unexpected love between two completely different people begins.Complete

What do you do when you are ripped from the only life you know? How do you move forward when you have nothing left to live for? Ali awakens one afternoon, dazed and injured in the middle of nowhere with no help in sight. She has no memory of this place, but it feels familiar. Staring death in the face, Ali is ready to give in, but God might have a plan for her after all. She finds herself crossing paths with a reenactment that confuses her as much as it intrigues her. She is suddenly surrounded by strangers who, in their foreign ways, want to help her. After a devastating loss in her past, Ali is skeptical of finding happiness regardless of her location. However, something about a pair of dark eyes captures her attention and she cannot seem to keep herself at a distance. He challenges her in ways she thought no one ever could and he gives her the safety she did not know she needed. With no one left to miss her back home, Ali creates a bond with those around her, while remembering the life she was taken from and the people she has lost. Virgin. Chapters: 20-25 chapters with epilogues. Hailey has been sheltered almost all her life because her mom had feared so much for her safety she never allowed any trips unless it was together with her. She had always warned Hailey about the evil of men and how they could harm young ladies like her. Hailey had feared so much that she decided to never wander outside of the safety of their house and unfortunately, she never made any friends and had never experienced anything either. People in her city were always widely curious about her life and some boys had actually tried to invite her out on dates, to the horror of her mother. She didn't know what happened to them because her mom didn't accept any invitations and she never talked with any of them either. Now at 23, tragedy had arrived in her life. Her mom had passed away from a stroke and she had no one to rely on but an untie that mom had said she should seek in case something happened. She needed to travel alone to her mom auntie's home, without any sort of companion. She didn't dare accept anyone who offered to help her because mom had said she should trust just her auntie and anyone else. She didn't know if bad men would try to snatch her again and her only desire was to find a safe place she could live her pacific life, the way she did when her mom was alive.

Everyone around Charley sees him as tragically handicapped. Not so Charley himself, who lives life to the full and pulls everyone around him along, starting with Trey. Watch them grow through challenges into young manhood and beyond. This is a revised and somewhat condensed version of this story. It started out life as a short story but its characters just took hold of me until it grew into what you have at hand. The characters and settings are an amalgam of a lifetime of experience, sometimes intense, of all sorts of people and places. In themselves, however, they are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, places or events, other than what is clearly public knowledge, is coincidental. If you're looking for sex in every paragraph, you need to look elsewhere.Complete
