The Dark War came about when there was a difference in what Mana was used for. The Mages of Edonia has shown and proven that Mana, the life force of Edonia, was used for protection and good. However, many Mages took a darker path, saying that Mana was mainly used for power, to defeat those who posed a threat to one's way of living. Seeing what would transpire if this continued, the Mages of Edonia exiled any and all who tried using Mana for sickly acts. Thus became the rising of Warlocks and Witches. Seeing themselves as better and flawless in every way, the Warlocks and Witches formed the Grand Covenant, to strengthen their own teachings and to prove kingdoms all over Edonia wrong. And with that, The Dark War began. Mages battled the Witches and Warlock within the grand kingdom of Nirewin. After many suns, many moons, and many fallen allies and foes alike, the war was over.
