It's a busy time in the history of the United States.
World War II has just begun and New York City is beginning to become one of the largest populated Urban Cities. Though, with urbanization, the crime is steadily rising. Prohibition has ended, less than ten years ago. Mobsters are finding other ways to go the easy route with money.
And Florence's father was caught in the middle of it. When he leaves for war to escape his certain death, Florence's family is left out in the open, condemned to the fate their loving father played out for them.
Florence is now determined to protect her family, and find out who threatened her father into a deal, one he couldn't fulfill. Even if it means getting her pure hands filthy. Entangled in the drug cartels and fast life of a Mobster, Florence has no idea what she has gotten herself into.
A predicted lifespan for an average female isn't too long. What has she got to lose? She's only seventeen.
